Top of the trees that’s where I’ll be standing and breathing in my air Up as far as you can see that’s where we’ll be dreaming - love has no boundary You just always seem to know which way the wind will blow He left me with all the keys and a map to make us grow Up a top the canopy is where I like to be free from harm down on the land and safe to be just who I am I’ll be on top top top of the trees that’s where I’ll be standing and breathing in my air Up as far as you can see that’s where we’ll be dreaming - love has no boundary Open up your mind and come sit down right next to me We can talk in silence it’s our peaceful remedy You gave us life you taught us love what more could you do? I will take care of her now, that I promise you. We’ll be on top top top of the trees that’s where I’ll be standing and breathing in my air Up as far as you can see that’s where we’ll be dreaming - love has no boundary Con sólo saber que estás junto a mí Tengo la fuerza para seguir I’ll be on top top top of the trees that’s where I’ll be standing and breathing in my air Up as far as you can see that’s where we’ll be dreaming - love has no boundary

44 years of age walking up a hill Light was dark but day was bright still His eyes had changed, his life had changed but he walked back up that hill Thankful for his strong strong will They think he won’t make it but he’s going to fake it He’ll give him the best that he can They think he won’t make it but he’s going to fake it He’ll give him the best that he can Songs in her head, songs in her heart She had to set them free A windy path that she could barely see She said the songs they are my compass now and they will guide me through The loss I feel of loosing you. They think she won’t make it but she’s going to fake it She’ll give him the best that she can They think she won’t make it but she’s going to fake it She’ll give ‘em the best that she can They think he won’t make it but he’s going to fake it He’ll give him the best that he can They think he won’t make it but he’s going to fake it He’ll give him the best that he can

Poem 00:27
Even after all this time... The sun never says to the earth: “you owe me!” Look what happens with a love like that... It lights up the whole sky.

Half As Much 03:29
Make me half as much as you You poured all of yourself into us Like a river, I'll let it flow through me Make me half as much as you Hazme algo como tu Dando todo tu ser y tu amor Como un río que fluya siempre en mi Hazme algo como tu This love will always be around  Your heart will always be found with us with us oh with us Make me half as much as you You poured all of yourself into us Like a river, I'll let it flow through me Make me half as much as you

Now I think I finally got the plan On how to keep love new and burning bright Make sure that you always understand What feels wrong and what will make it right Be honest and the kindest that you can Darlin’ love aint always black and white Please can we stay here, let’s never leave here Please keep loving me We made it through the toughest of the times Dark bitter days and restless nights Making jokes was how we made it all fine Laughing’s how we always reunite Let’s look up to the sun and soak up all her light it’s time to enjoy life You know it’s what they’d want so we gotta be true you love me and I love you. Round and round you catch me and I catch you Side by side falling’s impossible to do Please can we stay here, let’s never leave here Please keep loving me Let’s look up to the sun and soak up all her light it’s time to enjoy life You know it’s what they’d want so we gotta be true you love me and I love you.

Just Enough 02:35
Always steady always kind You can always ease my mind Before I could, before I would oh oh You are just enough for me You are just enough for me So, so much is out of our control Chasing the past, doesn’t make us feel whole Loving you does, loving you does oh oh Open up the shade and let the light in I wanna feel the warmth of the sun against my skin I wanna let go, I need to let go oh oh You are just enough for me You are just enough for me You saw in me, who I needed to be Now I am finally set free By you and your love You are just enough for me You are just enough for me

For Craig 03:51
Didn’t know you had to go so soon That your wings were on their way The fight is all alone sometimes and it can feel oh so grey Did the sky fall all around you? Was the water crystal clear? Did a sea of love surround you? Oh, can you feel it in our tears? Ashamed of where I was back then I hid in time hoping I could blend Not thinking of what you’d been through or if you needed a good friend Did the sky fall all around you? Was the water crystal clear? Did a sea of love surround you? Oh, can you feel it in our tears? You never know the story, until the story is gone What a heavy weight you had to carry for so long With all the strength you had inside you freed me of my ghosts I wish I’d done the same for you or that I’d given you some hope Did the sky fall all around you? Was the crystal clear? Did a sea of love surround you? Oh, can you feel it in our tears?

Normal Now 02:58
Somewhere in between your heartache and your grief You’re afraid of smiling cuz all the world might see Stop and hold the river waves are crashing down You know that there’s more to be but I can’t see around I’m ready to try to be normal now I’m not sure how cuz everything has changed I’m ready to try to be normal now I’m not sure how cuz everything has changed All I loved about you I’ll be in my own way I’ll live my life with purpose I’ll let love lead the way All of my memories they will keep me strong Stories of you will be told your spirit will go on I’m ready to try to be normal now I’m not sure how cuz everything has changed I’m ready to try to be normal now I’m not sure how cuz everything has changed How do we? How do we go on? We will keep singing our own song. The way you taught us to… We are ready to try to be normal now though we’re not sure how cuz everything has changed ready to try to be normal now not sure how cuz everything, everything, everything has changed.

Changing 03:44
Gentle be gentle now don’t give hearts away Look deep inside yourself what wants to come out and play Kind oh be kind now and let the flowers bloom You don’t have to be the brightest in the room Times are a changing ready or not Wind is a blowing can’t turn back the clock All you can do Is find some peace inside of you Be close to who you are now Don’t let your insides fade away Count all your fears and slowly let them go Climb out of the shadows and let it flow Times are a changing ready or not Wind is a blowing can’t turn back the clock All you can do Is find some peace inside of you Don’t be afraid to love with all your might Don’t be ashamed to change if it feels right Let the road carry you home and remember: home is forever changing Times are a changing ready or not Wind is a blowing can’t turn back the clock All you can do Is find some peace inside of you Times are a changing ready or not Wind is a blowing can’t turn back the clock All you can do Is find some peace inside of you

Honor You 03:07
Sideways upside down you fell We knew nothing tears could tell In our house there was a pulse It keeps beating in and out So unafraid to fall your were Knowing all the risks you bravely took them still Let me honor you It’s all I think that I can do Let’s think about the luck we had The times we shared The good, the good, the good There was so much good. In this shift I feel a fire movement all that you’ve inspired to live without you feels so strange You’re always with us that will never change So, unafraid to fall you were knowing all the risks you bravely took them still Let us honor you It’s all we think that we can do Let’s think about the luck we had, The times we shared The good, the good, the good There was so much good. Let me honor you Let me honor you Please let me honor you.

about

The joy of discovery and the pain of loss – hanging on and letting go – wandering abroad and going home – these are just some of the themes that Marye Lobb explores with piercing honesty and a beautiful, soaring voice that invites you to make her journey yours, too. Equally at home in American folk and Latin American idioms, Marye sings in English and Spanish. Marye grew up in Rochester, New York, explored South America, polished her skills at Berklee College of Music, and is an up-and-coming member of the New York City folk and club scene. She can’t wait to play for you.

To my listeners: Writing these songs and singing them has healed my soul and spirit from the biggest loss I have ever known; these songs became an internal compass when I had never felt more lost. With my newfound orientation, I am thrilled to set the songs free by sharing them with you. I pray, with all of my heart, that they will bring you peace, joy and, most of all, hope. I hope these songs comfort you.

about

Marye Lobb Rochester, New York

If an alpine lake high in the Chilean Andes had a voice, it would be Marye Lobb's, crystalline and cool, intimate yet accessible, with a folk-infused style reminiscent of Judy Collins seasoned with the flavors of Brazil.
